Prayers are Live Savers ...

I truly believe that prayers are answered ... sometimes not how we would want or in the time we would want them answered ... but I know I just need to place everything in God's loving hands.

I will be away from my blog for awhile helping my parents as my dad goes thru chemo treatments for lung cancer. We are all very positive about this, but I do admit I am worried that I will not be strong enough for what lays ahead and I do not want to show any of that to my dad. So, please pray that God gives me the strength to help my parents during this time and the time ahead.

He was diagnosed about a month ago and will start his chemo treatments this week. He only has three then starts the radiation therapy the following week for about 5-7 weeks. He just turned 80 and says he feels great so please just keep him in your prayers ... I really appreciate it.

Much love to my awesome friends who have been following this with me and thanks for your support. I love y'all!!

Talk soon! :)

Lobster Layout

Here is a layout from my first Scrap Cruise! I love lobster and was so excited when everyone talked about the lobsters on cruises. I then found out that they just serve it on the last night. I enjoyed all the dinners leading up to this, but was excited for "Lobster Night".
What fun ... thanks for looking.

Gotta Pay Attention to the Rules!

I was working away on a template challenge I'm doing at Mouse Scrappers and had fun changing up the template to a layout I was really liking. I finished it and was going to post and realized that ... DUH! ... it's Mouse Scrappers so what do you think the theme needs to be??? Yup, Disney!

Now a lot of you probably think that is all I do, but I do actually have some other trips to scrap and had put together the layout below from my scrap cruise last year. This layout is titled "Costa Maya" and it was my absolute favorite stop we made. On rainy days like today I can just stare out the window and see the beautiful blue waters. Ahhhhh ....

I still enjoyed putting it together. Thanks for looking.

I Can Do More Than One Layout on the Travel Challenge!

I was reading the rules for this challenge and found that you can submit more than one entry so I worked on another one yesterday. I've wanted to get a layout done showing the different Christmas trees at Disney. I still have another one in mind so this may not be the last.

Wow! Three challenges completed! Here is my final layout of the week for the challenges. This is the Tuesday Challenge where they supply the template and you just design what you want on it.

My first "Show Off" for Britt-ish Designs

I have enjoyed using the digital designs of Britt-ish Designs at Scrap Matters. She has A LOT of Disney papers and elements. You can also check out her blog here. Anyway, she asks that you "show off" your layouts that use her product and post it. So.... here is my first "show off" layout using her wonderful products! Can't wait to get some more pirate pictures with my best mate's Robyn, Jackie & Wren this summer. Arrrgh!

As my friends all know, I can do tons of Disney layouts. Ha! Thanks for looking!!

We're Back!

Curt and I just returned from our annual anniversary trip to Disney World. We normally go after our actual anniversary, but just couldn't stand the thought of being there during the heat again. Well, we definitely didn't get heat on this trip! Most days were in the lower 60's with a cool wind. We were still able, of course, to have a wonderful and relaxing trip.

The Flower and Garden show started on March 3rd at Epcot and, as usual, Disney did not disappoint. They can do some awesome topiaries. These were featured when you entered Epcot:

Heading back to the World Showcase we saw these arrangements:

We had such a great time and absolutely loved staying at the Bay Lake Towers! The view from our balcony was beautiful!

Of course, we love the characters!!!

Hope y'all enjoy the pictures. Now I'm off to get some projects done!
