To Celebrate My Upcoming Disney Trip ...

I have designed my first blog using a fantastic kit called "Just Another Big Cheese" by Natalie's Place Designs. Her blinkie is to the right ... she is so talented and her kits are full of fun! I will be making my way to Disney later this month for my annual scrapbooking event at Walt Disney World! I absolutely love and look forward to this trip every year. I will be traveling with two of my best and sweetest friends and meeting my sissy there. The four of us will spend days scrapbooking and then days in the parks. What could be better!!

This is a layout I made for a Template Challenge at MouseScrappers using "Just Another Big Cheese" kit.

First Layout for Kinsley

Get your hankies ready ... here is my first layout from my sweet Kinsley's wedding. I went up to Birmingham a week before the wedding to help with any last minute items. It was such a fun and very special week for me. Curt joined me a few days before the wedding and we were both filled with joy to see Kinsley and Adam married. I have so many pictures, but wanted to start with something that left everyone with a tear in their eye. This layout is from the reception ... the Father - Daugthter Dance ... and the music was Butterfly Kisses. Yes, it was perfect!

I found the words to the song and highlighted this section:

She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride-room just staring at her.
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said "I'm not
sure-I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
She leaned over...gave me butterfly kisses with her mama there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk my down the aisle, Daddy-it's just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy? Daddy, don't cry!"

Okay, yes I am tearing up. I have an excuse cause I'm just a proud Auntie!! Love ya Kinz!

The Many Faces of Daisy ...

I was playing with my new camera today and my model, of course, was Daisy. She was a real good sport about it and posed showing off her many darling looks. She is doing great and getting along with Shasta so much better. It is a hoot watching them play now. Main problem we have is Daisy's love of chewing ... everything and anything!

Today Daisy experienced the lawn mower and I don't think it will go down as a pleasant memory for her. This may be why I was able to get so many cute shots of her since she was more subdued. I'm sure before long she will be trying to run circles around Curt while he mows the yard. Just one more thing to look forward to keeping her away from. :)

If you love Disney and digital scrapbooking then head over to MouseScrappers starting tomorrow for a Speed Scrap Minnie Marathon. I'm so glad that I'm going to Disney World next month because I need more pictures for all the template challenges, weekly challenges, and speed scraps I participate in at MouseScrappers.

If you have never participated in a Speed Scrap ... now is the time. There will be many opportunities and you get some of the most fantastic participation prizes from the best digital scrapbooking designers. All my favorites are hosting a speed scrap so I'm very excited. The first time I participated in a Speed Scrap I was so nervous, but some of my favorite layouts have come from them. Just pop over here for some tips on how to speed scrap. The main thing is to enjoy it and don't stress about anything.

Well, I guess everyone knows what I'll be doing this weekend ... hope to see you there!

Finishing Up Some Challenges ...

I finished a template challenge on MouseScrappers where I used some of my older pictures. These are from June of 2006. We were at Chef Mickey's and the guys didn't want to participate in the "napkin wave" at the restaurant. They finally got into it and it was such fun ...

This next layout is for a Weekly Challenge at MouseScrappers. This is from last year and we are coming up on our annual scrapbooking trip to Disney. This is at 'Ohana's restaurant at the Polynesian Resort. This will be our first dinner this year ... get off the plane ... check-in ... go to 'Ohana!!

Notice the tiara on each of our heads. We wore them the whole trip and had a blast. All our children would have been so embarassed ... life is made for silliness sometimes!

Just finished this challenge and used some pictures from a2008 trip. I love using red, white and blue in layouts. It always looks so tidy!! Aren't our liberty girls just too cute! The kit I used is "Made in America" by Britt-ish Designs and her new "Awesome Blue Alpha". She is one of my absolute favorite designers.

Whew! Here is my last layout of the day. I just got this kit called "Gettin' Wild" from Natalie's Place Designs. Check out her blog ... it is awesome.
