Disney Days with the Girls!

I just finished this layout and smiled the whole way through it! I used the kit "Just Plain Fun" by Britt-ish Designs. This was such a fun layout to do because I got to look through so many of our pictures and laugh. Between the four of us we had almost 4,000 pictures! Can you believe that????? Anyway, I tried to get pictures from each park we went to (except Universal's Harry Potter).

Speed Scrap at MouseScrappers Last Night.

I guess I have trouble getting my creative mojo working on late night speed scraps ... LOL. I did finish my layout, but will probably go back and tweak it at a later date. I used Kellybell Designs new kit called "The Wilderness". This was a perfect kit for the recipe exchange we had at Disney. Karen suggested a recipe exchange for the eight of us and I have to tell you that I have some great recipes now! I'm hoping we will do this again next year. We met at the dock at the Contemporary and took a boat across the lake to Ft. Wilderness. Our breakfast was scheduled at Trails End and it was so much fun.

We were asked to color tint a photo in our layout so I chose to use the sepia for our photo.

Scrap Matters Template Challenge

Well, once again I'm using my favorite muse ... my puppy Daisy! I used the same kit that I used for the Speed Scrap at Scrap Matters last night ... "Dog-gone Cute" by Wimpychompers Creations. Today I went out and actually laid in the grass to get pictures of Shasta & Daisy on "their" level. What fun! I now have some great pictures for future layouts, however, here is one of Daisy coming at the camera ... ahhhhhh!

Here is the Tuesday Template Challenge layout:

Another Template Challenge Layout

I love this kit (Where It All Began) from Kellybell Designs ... it has to do with the original Disney ... DISNEYLAND. I had the opportunity to go to Disneyland with Jane, Kay & Lori in January. Fun!!

I'm Back with a Template Challenge Layout

Hi everyone! I've been away for awhile, but I have been planning some layouts too! This layout is for a template challenge at MouseScrappers. We had lunch at Rose & Crown in UK at Epcot and we didn't see anything on the street before we went in to eat ... when we came out there was this wonderful hopscotch & cute art in chalk in front of the restaurant. What a surprise!

Remembering September 11, 2001 ...

Our prayers go out this day to those that lost family and friends on September 11th, 2001. I remember sitting in the conference room at the school office in shock that such terrible evil could exist and do this. As America did on that day ... we are all coming together today to pray for the victims and their families and thank God that we live in such a wonderful country. God Bless America!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

On our first day of seeing the parks we had decided to travel to Universal and see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! The crowd level was down so that was great! However, I don't understand why they built this park so small!!! We were able to go in to Honeydukes:
Great candy displays and I picked up Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans for the guys (there are flavors like dirt, vomit & pepper) and a Chocolate Frog for Curt! The wait for Ollivanders Wand Shop was about one hour! The shop only lets in a few customers at a time. Now why make shops that can only hold a small amount of people???? They have people outside who have to let some out before they can let others enter ... just don't understand that! Anyway, we ate at The Three Broomsticks ... had fish and chips with Butterbeer (which is excellent). The Butterbeer tastes like cream soda ... yummy!
We walked up to Hogwarts to ride the main ride for this park .. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It was so awesome. You actually feel like you are flying with Harry! There are dementors, dragons, and much more. We rode it twice and loved it!!
The queue you walk through to get to the ride was fantastic. There are pictures that talk and walk from picture to picture ... just like the movie! Harry, Heromine and Ron talk with you along with Professor Dumbledore. This is what I enjoyed the most.

I am so glad I visited the park and got to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It's always great to see things for yourself so go and enjoy this wizarding experience.

I put this layout together using Connie Prince's template "In The Middle". The digital kit is "Wizard School" by Traci Reid & Wild Dandelion. The date element is "Behind the Dating Glass" by Haynay Designs. The font is Harry P.

My How Fast They Grow ...

Curt had been telling me how much Daisy has grown while I was gone, but I just couldn't believe how much!

Daisy still likes to crawl into Shasta's bed and will squeeze in any way she can. They are just so cute together.

Back from Disney ...

I couldn't wait to get this layout done since I got the kit Polynesian Paradise by Kellybell Designs. 'Ohana's is my favorite restaurant at Disney and this year at the Dream Events Scrappers Dream Vacation at Disney we got to go twice!

I also wanted to post the second t-shirt I made for the SDV.
