Birthday Card for 21st Birthday

I've been working on my son's 21st birthday card. I was really channeling my Tim Holtz mojo for this card. I haven't totally decided if I love it yet, but I'm getting there. I had so much fun playing with my destressed inks, grunge board, and perfect pearls. His birthday is on Tuesday so I still have time to change things . Heehee!

I even made him a matching gift card holder for the inside!

As Tim Holtz would say ... did I freak your freak????

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know I'm just a bit early, but Curt and I have already gone out for our sweetheart dinner ... trying to beat the crowds ... or so we thought! We went to Outback and it was packed. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait long. The dinner was wonderful, but the company was the best! Yes, after 28 years of marriage, I still find my sweet hubby the best looking, funniest, and biggest blessing in my life!

Here is the Valentine's day card I made for him. I can't wait to see how he gets the candy out without tearing the card, which he will NOT do. He loves his cards so we will figure it out. :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Valentine's Day with their sweetie! :)

Been Lazy Just Chillin' ...

and making flowers. I had watched a video on how to make these flowers and I decided to try my hand at it.

The order of the flowers shows my progress. The only one I really like is the last one I made. I have another idea for making flowers and I'll try that tomorrow and post what I make. A link to this video is here so you can try some for yourself.

Have fun!

Disneyland and California Adventure ...

We started our day with a character breakfast at the Paradise Pier hotel ...  Mickey's Surfs Up!

This was so much fun and we had plenty of time with the characters ... great interaction. Fun, fun, fun!

This was Jane's first time at a Disney theme park. Kay, Lori and I were all so excited to show her the "Disney adventure". I always love the first look down Main Street at the castle.

Now, to be honest, I'm used to Disney World and the huge, beautiful castle ... so I was a bit surprised at Disneyland's castle.  I had to keep remembering that this is the "original" Disneyland and as I was a small child the castle did seem huge. However, we were at Disneyland and had the most beautiful weather and fun ahead of us!

We then went to Disneyland, walked over to California Adventure for a few hours, and then back to Disneyland.  One of our absolute favorite rides was Toy Story Mania ... I wasn't surprised since that is one of my favorites at Disney World! The California Scream roller coaster has got to be one of my all time favorite roller coasters that I have ever been on. Lori and I had to ride that twice!

We finished the day with a great meal in Downtown Disney. I can honestly say we were as tired as can be and couldn't wait to relax back at our room.

What a wonderful day with the most amazing friends. Thanks Jane, Kay & Lori for a fun & exciting day! :)
