Just Another Layout ...

I am enjoying making layouts with the "Head Over Heels" kit from Mad for the Mouse. This is a layout of when we got our sweet puppy Daisy ... I am working on a layout of just what she looks like now. Believe me, it is a huge difference since she is now over 60 lbs. This layout also shows a few pictures of our sweet Shasta who was 10 years old when we got Daisy.  One of my favorite pictures is of Shasta & Daisy facing each other .. nose to nose .. too cute. :)

What a beautiful day!

What a beautiful day we had today. I even had my windows open for awhile ... got a little chilly after a bit. Still loved seeing the sun! I decided to do a layout from Meghan Mullens new kit called "D is for ...". It was full of daisies and the colors just matched my mood today. Of course, for me "D" is for Daisy ... she just turned eight months old. While she can be a handful at times, she is such a sweet puppy!

Daisy's First Snow Layout

We are finally all warmed up. Today we had the windows open enjoying the sunshine and breeze. What a switch from just two days ago, but that's what living in Texas is like. Ha!

What fun it was to watch the dogs enjoy the cold weather. Shasta wasn't as enthusiastic about the cold, but at almost 11 years old it just doesn't thrill her. Now Daisy on the other hand LOVED IT! She just ran in circles and then tried to lick up all the snow she could get. What a great way to celebrate turning 8 months old!

Daisy's First Obedience Class!

It's been ten years since Curt and I have had a dog in obedience class and things have changed. I enjoyed watching Curt work with Daisy and was very proud of her. I was a little worried in the beginning because she was on overload ... seeing other dogs and they were so CLOSE ... must play with them!!  We begin working with her tomorrow and, while it all seems to make so much sense when we are at the class, we hope we can hold her attention ... ha!

Anyway, here is my layout of Daisy's first day in class.

I used paper and elements from "Puppy Love" by Snickerdoodle Designs at Just So Scrappy. I also used "Clip Me Hearts" by Eva Kipler.

Nice End to the Week ...

I just finished this layout of Daisy. She recognizes the camera now and will just lay there. Don't know if she is posing or just telling me that she's not moving until the camera is GONE! I still got some cute shots of her enjoying the weather.

I used a couple super cute kits from Just So Scrappy. I just found this site and it has some adorable digital kits there.

I am using some more of their kits in the layout below.

This layout is for a Weekly Challenge at MouseScrappers. This was such a fun challenge. All the things on your layout were determined by your date of birth and age. My layout was to consist of Polka Dot papers, Word Art and Ribbon Tabs, Live Animals, and Round or oval photos.

I took some leeway on on the photos and presented all the photos in a curve so all of them would look like a quarter circle. I would also like to mention that these pictures were taken by Robyn on our Disney trip in August. She took some awesome shots on the safari at Animal Kingdom. I kept kidding her that the picture of the lion was not him roaring ... I think he swallowed a bug and is gagging ... ha! I'm just jealous cause I've NEVER seen the lion out when I went on the safari! Great pictures Robyn!

I used "Who's at the Zoo" from Just So Scrappy and a paper from "Let's Talk Turkey". The template I used was "Sensational Single 4" by Janet Phillips.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing weekend!

Scrap Matters Template Challenge

Well, once again I'm using my favorite muse ... my puppy Daisy! I used the same kit that I used for the Speed Scrap at Scrap Matters last night ... "Dog-gone Cute" by Wimpychompers Creations. Today I went out and actually laid in the grass to get pictures of Shasta & Daisy on "their" level. What fun! I now have some great pictures for future layouts, however, here is one of Daisy coming at the camera ... ahhhhhh!

Here is the Tuesday Template Challenge layout:

My How Fast They Grow ...

Curt had been telling me how much Daisy has grown while I was gone, but I just couldn't believe how much!

Daisy still likes to crawl into Shasta's bed and will squeeze in any way she can. They are just so cute together.

Requested Update on Daisy and Shasta ...

I have been asked to give an update on our new puppy, Daisy. Well, she is almost 3 months old and I can't believe how much she grows each week! We just love her sweet personality and we are convinced she is following in Shasta's footsteps ... er, paw prints?!? Anyway, I did this layout showing how much she has grown and just how close she and Shasta are now.

The Many Faces of Daisy ...

I was playing with my new camera today and my model, of course, was Daisy. She was a real good sport about it and posed showing off her many darling looks. She is doing great and getting along with Shasta so much better. It is a hoot watching them play now. Main problem we have is Daisy's love of chewing ... everything and anything!

Today Daisy experienced the lawn mower and I don't think it will go down as a pleasant memory for her. This may be why I was able to get so many cute shots of her since she was more subdued. I'm sure before long she will be trying to run circles around Curt while he mows the yard. Just one more thing to look forward to keeping her away from. :)

I'm Back!

I just got home from being at one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen! Kinsley, I'll be posting some layouts soon. :)

We returned and the next day picked up our new puppy, Daisy! Here is a layout of her first day ... day two was just as fun and Shasta is getting more and more used to Daisy.

Thanks for looking ... off to work on the wedding layouts!
